Is BlockWealth a custodian?

No. BlockWealth does not directly custody client assets. Assets are held with regulated custodians (Coinbase). This means there's no self-custody risk for the firm or for end clients.

How is client data protected?

Sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM (authenticated encryption). Authentication uses signed session tokens delivered via httpOnly cookies, with role-based access controls and firm-scoped data isolation. Why should I offer crypto to clients?

Client demand for crypto exposure is growing. Assets clients self-custody on Coinbase or hold via Bitcoin ETFs are AUM your firm doesn't manage and can't bill on. By offering crypto through your firm, you capture that allocation, increase AUM, and generate additional fee revenue.

Today, billing is managed through BlockWealth's built-in fee billing tools. Once our planned reporting integrations ship, you'll also be able to bill on digital assets directly through Orion, Addepar, Black Diamond, or your existing portfolio management software.
